This issue covers July 4th in crossover fandom.

All fan fiction has been listed at least twice, once for each fandom represented in the story. As the lists are very long, lj cuts have been implemented. Enjoy!

We don't pretend that what you see in this newsletter covered everything in the world of crossovers on Live Journal for the dates in question, though we have done our best. Gakked from ficwriter because memage is the only thing I'm willing to subject y'all to right now. I intended to have the next chapter of Skin Deep up earlier this week, but circumstances prevent. I'll try to get to it after the weekend.
In the mean time ...
It's Entertainment Weekly's list of the Top 100 movies (their opinion, definately not mine). Bold the ones you've seen, and underline the ones you own. Which is a little funny because my video library? Makes Blockbuster look like rank amatures. But anyways ...
Because I always gotta do something different, I'm also italicizing the ones that would at least be contenders to my Top 100 list as well.

Anyhow I'll be combining the voting for Challenges Seven and Eight, so there will be a few differences with this vote than typical. As well, there's going to be a mini-feedback poll at the end of the voting poll about allowing crossovers for the next challenge.
I'd like to thank the following people for entering the last two challenges:
( On to the voting )
( Mini-Feedback Poll )
The voting will close on Monday July 7th barring any ties. The mini-feedback poll will close on Sunday at 11am.
I am going to try to post Challenge Nine on Sunday, if I can't I will post to let you all know.
Who is your favourite Bartlet daughter?
( I voted for Ellie at first, then changed my mind. )
So anyway, I voted for Ellie, but I wanted to explain why I still preferred Liz over Zoey. Because I have a huge soft spot for Liz. HUGE. I secretly 'ship her with Josh. No, really. I love that CJ's intimidated by her, that she's so competent and commanding. I love that she is very much a woman while Zoey is still a girl. (Not that there's anything wrong with Zoey being a girl, but I've got my types and I'd take Firefly's Zoe over Kaylee any day.)
Whenever Liz shows up, I sit up and pay attention. She's the daughter most like her parents all while trying to not be her parents. Her life choices appear simple. Traditional. Wife and mother and homemaker. But beneath the surface, things aren't what they seem.
I've said this before, though perhaps not in my LJ: I may still prefer the Sorkin years, but I gotta hand it to Wells for writing so many strong, complicated women. ( My take on Sorkin versus Wells re female characters. Spoilers for... lots of things. )
So after trying to explain why I love Liz so much, and why I prefer her over Zoey, I realised I might as well vote for her since she's so unpopular compared to her younger sisters. She needs the love! Ellie's still winning by a wide margin, anyway.

But I just saw a thirty second trailer on Sci-Fi and in that thirty seconds, I reverted back to 16 year old Angie and I actually *squealed* and nearly screamed. I happened to catch the look on my dad's face. That 'oh shit, not again' expression. LOL.
Ya'll know how I fangirl over Chloe/Dean? Well...take that times about a thousand and me at 16...people at school knew me as the girl who liked X-Files. :P
I am officially excited.
It needs to be July 25. Right now.
Tomorrow: Must make Mulder/Scully icons. Yes.
