Sam and Dean - Dean Show
Thursday night is a full night of viewing at my house. Supernatural, Lost, Smallville and CSI. It’s a wonder my DVR didn’t start smokin’ for all the great TV last night.
Many spoilers under the cut.

Supernatural - Let me just start by saying Kripke you magnificent bastard. I knew the season would end with Dean “dead” but I still wasn’t ready to see him trussed up and hanging in the demonic spider web.

Anyone else feeling the Twilight Zone episode – “It’s a Good Life”. I was seriously waiting for that girl to threaten to send them to the cornfield.

Bobby rocks and if I went with him to the prom I would certainly never ditch him. The interaction between Bobby and Dean was just heartbreaking. The whole episode had me in tears.

Loved the Bon Jovi sing along. You know they’ve done that a million time before but the look on Dean’s face at the end of that scene - Jensen is just an amazing actor. He can get me with just a look.

Also – SAM! did he fight off Lilith. What the heck happened there? I’ve got nothing - I hope someone else has a theory to share

Smallville - Yes I still watch and it’s for episodes like this. Lex and Clark face off in the fortress. I am so sorry MR is leaving the show because now the real hero villain show down can begin. Lex called to me – He said “Strange Visitor” and is it weird that I giggled like a little fan girl. For those who don’t know – this is exactly where my alias came from – the old Superman show intro.

Jimmy asking Chloe to marry him. I didn’t even know I wanted that to happen until it did. It was so sweet and the timing of the arrest was perfectly frustrating.

Lana is gone. Ding Dong the witch is gone.

Even though I am sorry to see MR go, I think the show is going to be great next year no Lana and new show runners who might actually have a clue to make the show consistently great again.

CSI - I never talk much about this show. It’s one of those consistently good workhorse shows that delivers week after week. I’m not going to miss Warrick as he was never one of my favorite characters but I was glad he had such a powerful episode to leave on. Eckley shooting him and revealing himself as the mole – never saw that coming. Incredible twist – well done show.

Lost - I have been on the fence about this show since its return but last night I was completely won over. The look on Jack’s face when he realizes Aaron is his nephew – broke my heart.

Moving the island - WTF - I am intrigued. Ben is becoming one of the creepiest, ambiguous good guys on TV. I root for him to succeed and then feel guilty. I was so sure the ship would blow from the C4 thus explaining why Jin is dead and I’m pretty sure he is. But as for the rest – are they trapped on the island still. How the hell did those 6 make off the island when they are scttered to hell and back? And are Locke and Sawyer still alive. Damn I’m hooked again.

Share you thoughts on the season finales. I’m not sure I can survive a whole summer waiting for Dean to get free and be alive again. It’s killing me.

Seriously! What happened between Lilith and Sam? Why couldn't she destroy him? Does it have something to do with his mother? Some sort of power we don't know about? What?

My heart broke to see Dean hanging in the demonic spider web.

It's gonna be a long summer.

I don't know but I wish I had the answer about Ssam. I may be more frustrated by that becasue I know Dean will be back. I just hope it's not as Sam's demonic side kick.

Maybe Sam's mom did make soime kind of deal to give him power or protect him. Harry Potter's mom died and it protected him from Voldemort. Could it be that Mary's sacrifice protects Sam in a similar way. I'm way too invested in this show!

Ooh...that's a good theory.

I'm thinking there has to be a connection because they made a big deal out of all the Winchester relatives being dead. So there must be power in the genetic line somehow.

Maybe Dean is able to get out of hell himself - like he's Immortal or something. *snickers*

Like somebody's fic we all know and love? *Looks innocent*

Yeah, I definitely think there's something going on in that family.

know and love Thanks Sweetie! Not very subtle am I.[g]
Can't help it after last weeks episode when the spent the whole time talking about getting Immortality for Dean I'm having trouble keeping my Fanfic out of their canon.

I haven't yet seen Spn yet, but I've read everyone's posts about it. It's gonna kill me I'm sure...

CSI - I called it. We were watching the end, everyone sitting at that table, leaving one by one...

I turned to my mother and said, "He's a dead man. He's going to walk out that door and get shot."

She was the one that identified the blond guy early on as a bad guy. I won't miss Warrick either.

After he was shot, I realized that they had too since they hadn't actually fired him. I know the show wanted to do tough love for the actor - having given him so many opportunities to clean up.

Still It is always a shock when a main character actually bites it.

Unlike Dean who we know will be back, death on others shows is permanent. I mean Dean better be back.

There's no way they'd not bring Dean back.

The show wouldn;t work without both of them.

It's really sad when people self destruct like that.

I know Dean will be back I just hope he's human and not some Demon that gets out of hell to help Sam

My Sammy theory - his powers are back and in a big way. Lilith literally can't kill him, did you see how freaked out she was? Dean's death and Lilith's attack were just the thing to push Sam's powers passed whatever was blocking them. Ruby said he could wipe her off the map without lifting a finger and I think we got a tiny, tiny taste of the potential for that.

My poor boys. Is it September yet?

I think that may be true. I seriously don't want Sam to become all powerful though but maybe he will be able to cross into Hell and get Dean back. Except Dean's body was pretty beat up. WOuld it be healed just like in "In My Time Of Dying" when bringing him back healed his body too. OTOH in my world Dean's Immortal and just comes back on his own. I like my world. [g]
Argh - I want it to be Sept too!

Now we all know that Chloe is going to marry dean. You know. Once he's out of hell and she's out of jail.

Yes, I'm in denial. So whut.
[info]strangevisitor7 wrote:

But if Dean is in Hell how can he rescue Chloe? Oh wait mixing fanon and canon again.

Watching Jimmy propose was so cute. But there was a part of me thinking that Dean would walk in any moment kick Jimmy's ass for moving in on his girl.[g]

Pft. It's chloe. She could get herself out of jail with a paperclip, a wad of gum, and a hair scrunchie. The getting of the dean out of the hell is the harder prospect. I don't think she has enough paperclips for that.

You're right.*smackshead* Dean's the damsel in distress in this scenario. And he will never live it down if Sammy finds out.

But Chloe loves Dean. So she would never tell.
[info]strangevisitor7 wrote:

Absolutely, But I think Chloe might hold it over Dean's head for a little cooperation on something at least once.

I love living in the world of fanfic denial - join me the weather is wonderful!

OO0h pretty Chlean icon - hadn't noticed that one B4

yes yes yes yes!!!

i said this to the three people i was chatting with and put it in my post! (along with a TON of other references. heh)

Also – SAM! did he fight off Lilith. What the heck happened there? I’ve got nothing - I hope someone else has a theory to share
i think Sam did it - something with his psychic powers, that stopped Lilith and her White Light of Death - why else would Ruby haev mentioned it? Sam has no idea what happened, but i hope we find out in S4!

Lost - move the island. yeah, right.

I'm thinking Kripke was very much making a homage to that old episode.

I can't wait to see how they move the island. That's going to be very interesting.

oh yeah... i agree. Bodge said Alfred Hitchock directed that TZ ep. (have you seen my post, perchance?)

heheh... since when they ask HOW to move it, Ben says "very carefully"!! LOL!!
[info]strangevisitor7 wrote:

According to Imdb it was Directed by James Sheldon . Doesn't matter it is still one of the best episodes ever and I'm sure the homege was intentional.

As for Lost I am completely hooked again and find myself really rooting for Ben. "carefully" *snickers*

hehehe awesome!

(have you seen my posts for either?)

I am very excited that my mom is moving into to town - my kids are so happy to have their grandmother close. But not a lot of fun bed and window treatment shopping when its not even for my own house [g]

SPN: See, the end of season2 lulled me into a false sense of security when it came to end-of-season cliffhangers.

I was *lulled* I tell you!! LULLED!

And now I am forever traumatized by spider webs. (Though it was nice that Hell wasn't all red and flamey.)

CSI: I don't watch this show anymore - did they kill off Warrick? Or did he just leave?

As for the rest, I don't watch Lost, and I haven't watched SV since the start of S4 when all I wanted to do was smack a self-involved 'world revolves around me' Clark. Seriously. Few characters have annoyed me more.

My summer SPN fantasy involves either Sam going all power-mad and marching into Hell to get Dean out, or Dean saying 'screw this' and dragging his own ass out.

I know what you mean about season ending cliffhangers. I didn't join SPN until mid season two so i never had to endure the summer of the crushed Impala.

As fro CSI - Warrick was shot twice in the neck - so I'm thinking dead for sure.

Right now I'm doing the happy dance because i just got my complete Mag 7 series DVDs in the mail. whoo hoo! now I can watch my boys all the time. Just finished rewatching the pilot. :)

Okay, everybody that is hating Kripke right now, please raise your hand. Seriously, Kripke. You've killed any summer joy I might have had. Now I will become dependent on fanfic to get me through the summer.

Oh wait...I do that every summer, don't I?

I want my Dean back, safe and sound as he was. Do you really think Kripke could believably pull that off?

Good thing Dean is immortal. :D

LOL - I know Dean's Immortal - why is everyone so worried.

I can't believe I have to have that image of Dean knitted into a spiders web in my brain all summer. Ugh.

I don't really hate Kripke because it was an excellent episode...ok maybe a little for hurting Dean and leaving the Sam questions up in the air - seriously why didn't Lilith bar-b-que him.

I agree right now fan fiction is looking like a very nice way to get through the summer.

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought Kripke's version of Hell looked like giant spiderwebs.

And my first thought when I saw it was "Oh great, I suppose Satan is Shelob."

Yep - It was hard to watch Dean become spider food - Definitely a Shelob sized web [g]
